Redeeming Mercy Communities

As followers of Jesus, we are regularly engaged in proactive relationship-building within the secular community where God has placed us to live and work. As relationships grow and deepen, they provide a path for the encouragement, love and service God calls us as his people to offer those around us. Our hope is that every moment invested in a relationship provides an opportunity for the seed of the gospel to be planted and nurtured.

We are going as ministers of reconciliation and sharing as messengers of reconciliation.

As we carry on these relationships, we also gather together around Jesus, living out his call to “love one another” within a simple church environment. Our gatherings are not elaborate affairs that require large investments of time, money and manpower. No church-experts are required. Most often we gather in local homes where participants come together for good food, friendship and dialogue around God and his Word. We pray for each other and our work in the community, and we celebrate Jesus’ work in us.

We live by Biblical principle not by religious ritual. We gather primarily around relationship with God and people not buildings and institutions. We offer loving guidance in response to real, often difficult life circumstances, not predetermined lesson plans or orchestrated programs.

Our mission: Go into the world. Make disciples. Immerse them in God. Teach them the way of Jesus. Send them to go make disciples.

Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.

Billy Graham

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Martin Luther King, Jr.

God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.

C. S. Lewis
