Mercy Community (MC) is a lifestyle of organic relationships supported by simple church gatherings.

MC life is simply this: Jesus’ followers intentionally sharing organic relationships of genuine love and tangible service with their neighbors, that is, those community members that effectively live beyond the immediate influence of a believing culture. This lifestyle of everyday, intentional engagement with not-yet believing individuals is the Way of Jesus.

A Mercy Community establishes this “going” lifestyle as a routine Christian norm and, as such, functions as a local expression of Jesus’ body – the Church – in the real-time real life of the community.  This daily immersion in community life, living outside the walls of church buildings and orchestrated meetings, prompts a deep personal need for the gospel and a strong desire for worship and community within each individual believer. The MC becomes a rhythm of going and gathering, a lifestyle of giving and receiving – giving ourselves away in ministry and coming together again to be nourished and nurtured in gospel relationship and gospel truth. Worship, community and mission become organically intertwined. Any division between the sacred and the secular fades and all of life is holistically lived out simply as life in Christ.
